London Land Group celebrate milestone achievement in the construction of flagship development
London Land Group, developers of The Waterfront residential development celebrated reaching a key milestone in its construction journey as the first pre-cast panel was expertly lowered onto the site.
This significant event represents the next phase in the development’s progress, as the project gains momentum at speed due to its use of modern methods of construction.
The transfer deck for the two water facing houses, Distel and Estar, was completed on October 20, with construction partner, Creagh, now on-site with London Land Group installing the pre-cast concrete façade panels. With this achievement, the construction of the developments five blocks will accelerate, aiming to complete one floor every 1-2 weeks.
Nestled along Upton Lake in Poole Dorset, The Waterfront development offers a selection of 1, 2, 3 bed and penthouse duplex apartments and premium amenities, including an entrance lobby and concierge, communal courtyard with office pods, two furnished resident club lounges and exclusive roof terraces with views out across the harbour.
The development will be the first delivered by London Land Group under a multi-million pound innovation partnership with Samsung Electronics UK that will see the 291 apartments fitted out as fully connected homes, offering residents the ability to connect and control all their smart devices through Samsung’s SmartThings platform.
Mario Luca Balducci, CEO of London Land Group said, “We are thrilled to be marking this milestone and celebrating the spirit of collaboration that has brought us to this point.
“Our partners including Benchmark Architects, BTP, Creagh, Engeneeria, Woodmace and Rentec alongside our project team have been instrumental in transforming our vision for The Waterfront into reality and we are now much closer to offering our residents a vibrant, waterfront lifestyle that embraces quality, convenience and innovation.”
This milestone achievement follows quickly on the heels of three award wins at the UK Property Awards for the development and its architecture. London Land Group will be honoured at the UK Property Awards on 10 November and will find out whether they will progress to the International Property Awards.
Work started on the 291 apartment development in September 2022 and the development is on track to welcome residents from Summer 2024.
