Pro Ad Expands National Reach with Mayur

One of the UK’s leading promotional merchandising companies has expanded its team and geographical locality, enabling growth of sales and continued top ranking customer service.

Harrow-based Mayur Somaiya is the latest to join the solutions providing team at North East headquartered Pro Ad, joining as account manager.

The 38-year-old brings with him a host of experience in his career which has focused on B2B sales in positions at companies such as Carphone Warehouse, eBay, Harrow Times, Terrapin and more. The married father to two, a 17-month-old and 5 year old, said:

“I am very excited to join the Pro Ad team. I love the way that every day is different in promotional merchandising, and that client briefs and needs are so varied. There is nothing more rewarding than helping someone build their brand and when you see the branded merchandise out and about, it gives you a real sense of pride.”

As account manager, Mayur works remotely from his home near London, handling sales to both new and existing clients UK wide. His role is to focus on ensuring quality of product and customer service, ensuring that all orders meet the customers’ needs and briefs, providing solutions and assisting with all sized campaigns. He continued:

“I love it when clients come to you with a challenge, like leaving something last minute. It gives me great satisfaction to turn a problem around.

“I was keen to join Pro Ad as their 40-year history demonstrates what a great company they are, all about quality, with a driven work ethic that perfectly matches my own. My family do own its own businesses, but I love to get my teeth into roles that suit my hard-working, problem-solving drive and this role is just perfect for me.”

Bringing with him a number of years working in the branded merchandising industry, Pro Ad’s commercial director Loren Nardini says that Mayur was the perfect candidate to join the team:

“Welcoming Mayur to the team at this exciting time of growth makes him a key appointment in our future plans.

“He is keen to use his wealth of sales experience, a great bag of skills and his obvious supportive approach to build relationships. That is exactly what, as a family business of 40 years, we are all about.

“He is keen to be as trusted by our current portfolio of clients as the existing team, whilst building a rapport with potential new customers, and that is all music to our ears.”

As award winners, committed to being a good employer, part of the good business charter, committed to supporting the environment and passionate about buying British, Pro Ad is fast becoming the choice supplier of promotional merchandise to small, medium and large customers across the entire UK. Mayur, who is a qualified junior football coach and Manchester United fan, concluded:

“The complete team work to the same ethics: caring, understanding, helping and building trust. I want to be part of this for a long time to come!”
