Harrow dentist receives multi-million pound funding to launch new practice

A dentistry business based in Northwest London has opened its second practice in Harrow creating ten new jobs, thanks to a multi-million-pound funding package from HSBC UK.

Complete Smiles will use a portion of the funding package from HSBC UK to refinance previous short-term financing, allowing for a more sustainable repayment plan. The lower monthly repayments have allowed Complete Smiles to launch its new 2,500 sq. ft site, where it is already accepting new patients for general practice and for its state-of-the-art implant centre.

Thanks to the funding, along with more than 100 per cent growth in turnover year-on-year, Complete Smiles has plans to open three additional practices in Harrogate, West Sussex, and Kent in 2024.

Complete Smiles is targeting a 232 per cent increase in turnover by the end of 2025, as a result of the new practice and the expected additional openings. This is hoped to fuel additional future job growth.

Sanjeiv Asokan, co-founder and Managing Director of Complete Smiles, said: “We are grateful for the support from HSBC UK, helping us put a smile on our patients faces. Our new practice is a huge part of our future, and we look forward to welcoming all our new patients.”

Jason Mowe, area director at HSBC UK, added: “Complete Smiles has shown remarkable growth since it opened during the height of the pandemic. We are proud to be supporting the company as it goes from strength-to-strength.

Complete Smiles opened its first dental practice in Harrow town centre in October 2020. Along with its newly opened second practice, the company offers a range of dentistry treatments as well as implant services. Complete Smiles offers a unique twist with options to put on your favourite Netflix show or request the specific scent you want in the room during your visit.

In October 2023, Asokan and Dr Malavi launched ‘The Smiles Trust Foundation’ partnering with local charities and their own dentists to bring essential dental care to the Harrow area on a pro bono basis.
