London Victoria becomes ‘shop small hotspot’ for commuters with The Pop-Up Club launch

The bustling shopping district of London Victoria is now one of the latest homes for supporting small and independent traders with The Pop-Up Club this Christmas, offering commuters and visitors the opportunity to pick up last minute gifts as they travel.

The Pop-Up Club has opened its doors for the first time in Cardinal Place to help shoppers find a gift for their loved ones from a choice of independent traders. With less than 50 days to go until Christmas, the pop-up experience offers shoppers the opportunity to discover and purchase ‘unique’ gifts from small and sustainable brands this year.

Visitors to The Pop-Up Club can discover nearly 40 curated small brands and designers, including handcrafted and eco-friendly gifts, cards, ceramics, homeware, jewellery, artwork, kids prints and more.

Carefully curated traders on offer include independent retailers such as embroidered napkins and homeware from We Are The Lost Girls Ltd, bold and colourful prints from Nephthys Illustrated, sustainable children’s toys from Eeny Meeny and handmade home décor from recycled materials with Arkadia Dalia.

The Pop-Up Club stands alongside household names like Sweaty Betty, Accessorize, Boots and Marks & Spencer as part of the shopping on offer at Cardinal Place as well as a host of food and drink outlets. The Cardinal Place pop up shop is now open until 24 December (Christmas Eve).

In previous years The Pop-Up Club has helped small retailers and traders earn more than £500k by offering them a platform to sell and meet customers on the high street. This year it is supporting small businesses and retailers in Locations including Kent’s Bluewater Shopping Centre and Brighton’s Duke Lane.

Founder Tillie Peel commented: “Cardinal Place is a new destination for us and one that we are so pleased to be part of, thanks to its prime location in London Victoria which sees thousands of people travel through everyday.

“The Pop-Up Club has always supported small and independent traders, and we welcome this opportunity to be part of this thriving shopping hub that’s within a stone’s throw of such a busy travel hotspot. It’s the perfect place to let consumers meet some of the brilliant traders and retailers we are working with, and to get gifts and presents whilst heading home,

“With Christmas shopping now firmly on people’s minds as we reach the countdown to December 25th, we want to help and encourage shoppers to remember that supporting local businesses can have a huge impact at this time of year.

“There are over five and half million small businesses registered in the UK and if every person supported a small business with just £10 then £3.85 goes back into your local community.”
