Sauna and spa specialist agrees over £2m of business following expansion into UK

Following the launch of its dedicated Cheshire office in 2021, German sauna and spa specialist KLAFS and its core UK supplier, luxury pool experts Guncast, have agreed almost £2.5m worth of business in the North.

A broad mix of commercial and domestic projects, the organisations’ healthy pipeline includes a selection of KLAFS’ award-winning range of sauna and wellness suites, alongside bespoke designed and built pools by Guncast.

This northern success comes alongside the recent acquisition of Drom UK, a thermal wellbeing specialist with a showroom and large presence in Surrey, enabling KLAFS to expand further throughout the UK.

Gilles Darmon, KLAFS Director, commented: “We are so proud to have achieved such a high number of sales in such a short period of time, following the opening of our Cheshire base.

“There has been a huge appetite for KLAFS products and our unique design and build service, both commercially and domestically, and we only expect this to grow further as we become more prominent in the north.

“We are continuing to expand at an exciting rate, operating from a large showroom in Surrey as well as Cheshire, will ensure clients are able to conveniently meet with the team up and down the county, and see and feel the quality of our latest KLAFS designed cabins and the wider wellness products we can offer.”

Key domestic projects include custom-designed sauna and steam cabins in The Wirral, Hale and Alderley Edge, as well as two bespoke outdoor swimming pools in Wales.

KLAFS and Guncast also won the bid for a complete reimagining of a Lancashire spa hotel, which will include both a rooftop and indoor pool, alongside a sauna and ice lounge, heated loungers and footbaths. This project is due to complete in summer 2024.

Going beyond saunas, KLAFS offers the full range of specialist spa facilities, including steam baths, caldariums, mud baths, hamams, tepidariums, ice lounges, ice fountains and snow cabins, each crafted to the customers’ exacting requirements, whether within a home, hotel or luxury housing development.

The company is seeking further commercial and domestic opportunities across the UK, with the ability to deliver individual product design and installation packages as well as large scale projects within residential and hospitality buildings.
