Centre for Sustainable Innovation launches in Salford
Hosted at Salford Business School, part of the University of Salford, the Centre for Sustainable Innovation (CSI) will launch on 25th January 2024. The centre will be based in the Maxwell Building of the University’s Peel Park Campus.
Bringing together leading academics, policy makers and industry partners, the CSI will focus on pioneering developments in digital transformation and sustainability, connected by a ‘golden thread’ of change management and Innovation.
Bridging the gap between academia and the business world, the CSI will provide a platform for industry partners to access cutting-edge knowledge and research, including skills and capacity building workshops and research and development support, empowering businesses to stay ahead of the competition.
Embedded within Salford Business school, CSI will operate a multi-disciplinary approach, partners accessing the service will have the opportunity to connect with experts from across the University, promoting a collaborative approach which is particularly powerful in addressing multifaceted challenges and driving meaningful, sustainable change.
Dr Francine Morris, Associate Dean for Enterprise and Engagement at Salford Business School, commented: “Salford Business School has a long-standing reputation of excellent collaboration with business.
“Our new centre completes our vision of providing a critical service to the business ecosystem, by providing rigorous and impactful solutions to contemporary business problems.
“I’m delighted to be working with our dedicated team of academics, led by our new Centre Director Sara Boswell, and I’m excited about the impact we are going to make at the Centre for Sustainable Innovation, where embracing change and collaboration leads to transformation.”
