Hampshire housebuilder donates 30 boxes full of Christmas joy to children across the world

Employees at Barratt Homes’ Southampton Division have been showing their support for disadvantaged children across the world by filling a stack of shoeboxes with goodies for Samaritans Purse’s Operation Christmas Child campaign.

Workers at the leading housebuilder’s headquarters in Hedge End have collectively put together an incredible 30 boxes packed full of toys, games, and other gifts for the well-known Christmas initiative, and these will now be sent on to young people who need it this festive season.

Operation Christmas Child distributes shoeboxes filled with presents to children throughout the world who may not otherwise receive them at Christmas. It has been an initiative supported by Barratt Homes for a number of years.

Tammy Bishop, Barratt Homes Sales Director, said: “Barratt is committed to helping worthwhile causes and Operation Christmas Child is a wonderful campaign, which is helping to spread Christmas joy for children throughout the world. I’m proud that so many of our colleagues have shown their support this year. Thanks to everyone involved.”

Organised by international relief charity, Samaritans Purse, Operation Christmas Child sees thousands of people packing shoeboxes for children every Christmas. For more information, visit samaritans-purse.org.uk.

Barratt Homes is committed to supporting organisations who need it in the communities in which it is building.
