Two senior hires announced as Impact Hub London gears up for new site opening

Impact Hub London has welcomed Lucy Cornell as Events Manager and Mattew Papesch as Community Manager ahead of its second site opening in Euston, April 2024.

The addition of new talent reflects the social enterprise’s commitment to “fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and creating lasting social change”. In September this year, the organisation announced a landmark deal with British Land to open a new innovation campus, in partnership with Knowledge Quarter London in Warren Street.

Supported by a global network, Impact Hub London Euston will offer under-served local communities affordable workspace and tailored business support, as well as arranging impactful engagement activities throughout the borough.

The new launch follows the success of Impact Hub London’s King’s Cross location, which opened its doors in 2008. The appointment of Cornell and Papesch reflect Impact Hub London’s investment in talent to drive sustained growth and innovation.

Mattew joins from Teach First Inc and brings with him a passion for community building and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and dynamic environment. In his role, he will focus on cultivating a welcoming and inclusive space where all members feel a sense of belonging and are inspired to contribute to its shared mission.

Lucy Cornell, Events Manager, joins from The social investment consultancy and has a rich background in the social impact sector. She will play a pivotal role in curating spaces that inspire collaboration and innovation, creating a platform where meaningful connections are forged, and ideas are transformed into action.

With Lucy on board, Impact Hub London is set to diversify and expand its event programming. From workshops and networking sessions to conferences and community-driven initiatives, its events will reflect the rich tapestry of ideas and talents within its community.

Devi Clark, Managing Director at Impact Hub London, commented: “We’re ecstatic about the growing team and the development of our social enterprise. As we advance, our dedication to nurturing positive social change will only strengthen.

“Within our team, the vibrant energy and warmth cultivate an environment where our members can truly flourish. These members are visionary innovators constructing businesses that make our world truly proud.”

Impact Hub London has supported over 1,000 entrepreneurs/businesses to grow their impact and delivered 15 business support programmes.
