West Midlands businesses join BCRS for festive networking event

Representatives of leading West Midlands businesses met for a festive networking event organised by BCRS Business Loans.

Fresh from announcing its expansion into delivering service in Wales, BCRS Business Loans brought together more than 30 professionals from firms across the region for its Christmas Cob & Pint get-together on Wednesday 6 December.

The gathering, held at the Great Western pub in Corn Hill, Wolverhampton, was the latest in a series of free events organised by the business loans specialist.

Staged by BCRS as part of its drive to support the West Midlands business community, the midday Cob & Pint event provided attendees with an opportunity to network and build professional relationships in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Senior Business Development Manager Lynn Wyke said: “We were delighted to have so many people join us for our sold-out networking event at the Great Western.

“It was a great opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit and socialise with fellow professionals in the West Midlands.”

Head of Business Development Andrew Hustwit added: “With many businesses facing challenging times, events like this can give companies the chance to discuss opportunities and the different funding options available.

“The meetup was a great opportunity to bring together our network of partners who have helped us achieve another year of success, and we look forward to more events across the West Midlands region in 2024.”

BCRS Business Loans provides funding to businesses that are struggling to access finance from traditional lenders. Businesses can secure loans from between £10,000 and £150,000 from BCRS Business Loans to support growth and recovery plans.

As a community development financial institution, the lender’s purpose is to provide access to finance to enable local businesses to grow and prosper.

Since it was founded in 2002, it has provided loans worth more than £85 million to businesses across the West Midlands.

In November BCRS Business Loans announced that it would also be supporting small businesses in Wales after being appointed as a fund manager for the new £130 million Investment Fund for Wales launched by British Business Bank. BCRS will be managing the smaller loans part of the fund, awarding loans from £25,000 to £100,000.
