Newcastle Eagles strengthen regional business ties with newly announced partnership
Ryecroft Glenton (RG), the North East based business advisory firm, has announced a new commercial partnership with the region’s most successful basketball team, the Seriös Group Newcastle Eagles, for the 23/24 season.
The new relationship strengthens the ties between the region’s business and sporting community, with a commitment to supporting the basketball team and helping them flourish on the national stage.
Founded in 1996, the Newcastle Eagles have won seven British Basketball league titles, and most weeks play in front of a sell-out crowd of 3,000 spectators at their Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle.
Dan Cooper, partner and Head of Outsourced | FD at Ryecroft Glenton, commented: “The Eagles’ journey in recent years has been truly remarkable, which is why as a business we are delighted to be supporting them this season.
“The fact I’m an ex-basketball player makes this relationship extra special and also means I can appreciate the hard work that the players and coach Steutel will be putting into achieving success on the court this season. We’re looking forward to supporting the club at each game alongside our clients and professional friends.”
Paul Blake, Managing Director, Seriös Group Newcastle Eagles, added: “We love welcoming Dan, his team and their guests to VIP Hospitality on game nights at the Vertu Motors Arena.”
“Ryecroft Glenton shares so many of the values that we do as a club and as a Foundation and they share our commitment to supporting the North East and helping the region to flourish. It’s great to be working with one of head coach Steutel’s former team-mates and everyone’s looking forward to hearing the inside story from Dan!”
