Neighbourhood restaurant set to open at Hotel Saint this Spring

Spring 2024 will see the launch of a new all-day dining neighbourhood restaurant, The Cardinal Bar and Kitchen, at Hotel Saint located in the very heart of The Square Mile at the crossroads of The City and Shoreditch. Hotel Saint is a smart modern hotel that officially opened its doors in March 2023.

The Cardinal Bar and Kitchen will be a convivial neighbourhood spot appealing to locals, tourists and foodies. Taking reference from London’s past, the namesake reconsiders the historic ‘Cardinal’ virtues (Justice, Fortitude, Temperance and Prudence) through a modern lens, with an emphasis on eating and drinking well. The intimate space will encompass a welcoming, lounge environment paired with a delicious food and drink offering.

Banquette seating will line the walls, with wooden inserts, wooden flooring and light fittings creating a warm and inviting ambiance. There will be a terrace around the side of the restaurant for dining alfresco in spring and summer.

The menus at The Cardinal Bar and Kitchen will incorporate a wide range of British classics spanning across breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Perennial favourites such as The Cardinal Burger, Steak Frites and Olive Oil Poached Salmon served with fennel-green apple salad, will sit alongside Steamed Mussels with crispy shallots and Stracciatella with slow roasted tomatoes, hazelnut dukkah and garlic toast. There will also be decadent desserts available such as; Sticky Toffee Pudding with Armagnac Ice Cream (VG) and Pavlova, Summer Berries, Yuzu Curd. 

A dedicated bar will serve a comprehensive list of cocktails, wine and beer. The signature cocktail menu will feature variations on old school classics such as; Square Mile Cosmopolitan, San Remo Royale and Saint Sbagliato. 

Set in the heart of London’s financial district, The Cardinal Bar and Kitchen will evoke a spirit of comfort for those staying at the hotel or just visiting to dine, offering a ‘home away from home’ for guests.
