Sleaford Quality Foods’ Kate Clawson named Factory Manager of the Year
Sleaford Quality Foods, the Lincolnshire-based high-quality ingredients supplier to the food industry, is celebrating after their very own Kate Clawson was crowned Factory Manager of the Year at the prestigious Food Manufacture Excellence Awards (FMEA) which took place on Thursday 8th February.
In front of a packed audience at London Hilton Bankside, Kate walked off with the top prize, beating several industry rivals in a keenly-fought race.
The Awards have been running for 24 years and have become an established mark of quality and excellence, however 2024 is the inaugural year of the ‘Factory Manager of the Year’ award therefore an impressive personal achievement for Kate who has worked with Sleaford Quality Foods since 1999.
The event took place amid an evening of fun, glamour and celebration, this year hosted by comedian Mark Watson.
Factory Manager Kate said:
“I’m over the moon and extremely proud to have won this award, especially considering the quality and experience of the other finalists. I joined Sleaford Quality Foods part time while I was still at school studying for my A Levels so could not have dreamed that I’d one day win this award. I’m so grateful to my colleagues, past & present who have helped me get to where I am today. I’d also like to congratulate the other finalists and wish them well for the future”

Sleaford Quality Foods is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of ambient ingredients and blends to the manufacturing and catering/foodservice industries. Products include herbs, spices, seasoning, dehydrated fruits/vegetables, pulses and a wide range of innovative blends.
The business was established in 1968 by James’ parents William & Betty Arnold, and is now under the ownership of Indian parent company Jain Farm Fresh Foods Ltd.
