Black Country Chamber of Commerce launches new marketing campaign
The Black Country Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its impact across the region with a new high-profile marketing campaign promoting the benefits of membership.
The past 12 months have seen the Chamber enhance its offering to businesses and welcome new colleagues to support its members in more ways than ever before.
The Word of Mouth marketing campaign, which launched this month, will run until autumn and feature different Chamber members talking about why they value their membership.
Black Country Chamber of Commerce Head of Marketing and Communications Stephanie Sullivan said: “We have launched this campaign because we want to challenge people’s perception of our organisation and Chambers of Commerce in general.
“By inviting our members to tell us in their own words how their businesses are benefitting from Chamber membership we hope to raise awareness of all the ways we can support businesses in the region, whether they’re a start-up, a multinational, or somewhere in between.
“All our members are different, and the part we play in their success stories is as individual as they are. Whether it’s networking opportunities, marketing support, business savings, training, lobbying or HR and legal advice, the Chamber is here to help.”
The first two members featured in the new Word of Mouth campaign are Rainer Derry of Walsh Funerals and Memorials, a Gold member of the Chamber, and Nazir Sheik of digital agency Dev That Speaks, a Start-up member.
Rainer said: “Chamber membership is all about building connections in the local community – both with businesses and individuals. Chamber events enable us to meet with trusted businesses in a welcoming space. We'd highly recommend joining the Chamber to other businesses.”
Nazir said: “Joining the Chamber has allowed us to get in the door with so many new business contacts. Being part of the Chamber gives us great networking opportunities.”
The Black Country Chamber has worked in partnership with local marketing communications agency Plum Ideas to design the campaign.
Plum Ideas Director Brendan O’Dea commented: “We are proud to support the Black Country Chamber with this exciting campaign. It uses concepts that are bright, bold and different to campaigns they have run before.
“It has been fantastic to work with Chamber members who are so keen to provide positive feedback on their membership. It is clear that they see great value in it.”
The Word of Mouth campaign will run across the Chamber’s website and social media platforms, as well as across emails and e-newsletters. An advertising campaign and behind-the-scenes feature will follow in the organisation’s Prosper magazine later in the year.
The Black Country Chamber of Commerce is the leading business support agency for firms based within or doing business across Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall.
It runs various member groups to support its mission to promote and meet the needs of business and industry across the Black Country and to help create the best community in which to live, work and do business.
