Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield reveals jobs drive
A company providing specialist care to children, young people and adults with complex health conditions has unveiled job creation plans.
Caremark Rotherham & Sheffield aims to add up to 40 support workers to its team over the next six months.
Bosses say the drive will help meet “ever-increasing demand” for its services by bolstering an existing 100-plus team of support workers and management.
The company helps clients with complex and clinical health conditions such as acquired brain injury, spinal injuries, airway management, autism, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge.
Founded in 2016 by managing director Mark McKenning, it runs its head office from Rotherham’s Magna Business Centre.
It presently provides around 3000 hours of care each week to clients, and is rated as good by national regulator the Care Quality Commission.
Mark said: “Our highly-trained support workers provide a consistent and unique care service that enables clients with complex care needs in Rotherham and Sheffield to excel and thrive in their own homes, schools, colleges, workplaces and communities.
“We do this in partnership with our clients, their families and through the excellent relationships we have developed with key workers and professionals, which include local authorities in Sheffield and Rotherham, Sheffield Children's Hospital and independent case managers.
Mark revealed an emerging area of referrals is via independent case managers.
These are companies, solicitors, professional deputies or other individuals specialising in traumatic personal injury that are tasked with managing the healthcare budgets of people needing complex care.
Mark added: “We already work with a number of amazing case managers, who are wholly focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for the people they represent.
“We share the same ethos and have proven pathways of delivery that ensure the individuals we support are able to thrive and realise their full potential, regardless of the complexity of their care.
“And we want to continue to offer our support to even more people.”
