FW Capital backing boosts developer's County Durham housing scheme
A developer is embarking on a new housing project following six-figure support.
Dan Greener is bringing properties to Station Town, in County Durham, after FW Capital investment.
The cash backing comes from the North East Property Fund, an investment programme managed by FW Capital and backed by the North East Combined Authority.
It will help develop three homes, which are due to be completed later this year.
Dan said: “This is my second development, having previously completed a one-off new build housing project, and the backing of FW Capital has helped me get it off the ground.
“I’m looking for other developments, and hope to work with FW Capital on those.”
Lewis Blakelock, FW Capital investment executive, added: “It’s been great to help Dan bring forward his second development.
“This is a great example of how the North East Property Fund can support new developers with residential property schemes.”
The North East Property Fund offers loans from £250,000 up to £2 million for residential and non-speculative commercial developments in Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and County Durham.
Since the fund’s 2017 foundation, FW Capital bosses say the organisation has reached the £50 million investment milestone, supporting the construction of 227 houses across 51 developments, the build-out of 7,589sq ft of commercial space and the creation and safeguarding of 750 jobs.
