MGC Agency adding to team to fuel expansion
A tech sector operator says it is “recruiting a new team member each month” as it closes in on a multi-million-pound target.
MGC Agency says it expects to reach a £5 million valuation goal in the next five years after enjoying a growth spurt.
Launched in 2014, the Hartlepool-based company provides e-commerce, mobile app, website and software support to clients globally.
And managing director Chris Carroll says the firm’s pace has been supercharged by “priceless” support from business coach Ian Kinnery.
Chris took part in an Entrepreneurs’ Forum Scale Up Leaders course led by Ian, which helped strike a relationship with the former European business coach of the year.
He says: “Ian gave me a clear vision of how to grow MGC, offering a detailed roadmap outlining the steps required to expand the business to a substantial size.
“He’s also expanded my knowledge of how to drive a company forward and avoid the pitfalls associated with significant growth.”
Chris says Ian additionally helped MGC – based in Hartlepool’s Innovation Centre – redefine its offering, standards, team and goals, which have been incorporated into a five-year plan.
Chris said: “Ian helped us form our service clearly and provided insight into our brand voice to better target clients.
“Working with Ian, I gained an understanding of how to build such a team and how to instil responsibility and standards.”
Having started his coaching career nearly 20 years ago, Ian has helped hundreds of chief executives and entrepreneurs scale their businesses.
He said: “The success Chris has enjoyed is fantastic, and he’s now firmly on track to achieve the rewards both he and his team deserve.
“His story is testament to the power of coaching, and the value it can add to a business in order to help it grow.”
