Hatmill joins B Corp community
A Yorkshire-based supply chain consultancy has joined the ranks of certified B Corporations, underscoring its commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
Hatmill, an employee-owned consultancy that provides end-to-end supply chain and logistics support, earned B Corp status after scoring 117 points in B Lab’s rigorous certification process, surpassing the 80-point threshold.
This achievement aligns Hatmill with over 8,000 global businesses dedicated to using business as a force for good, with the firm giving one per cent of its profits to charity and, among other initiatives, funding two Greggs breakfast clubs.
Chris Turner, executive director of B Lab UK, said: “We are delighted to welcome Hatmill to the B Corp community.
“This is a movement of companies that are committed to changing how business operates and believe business really can be a force for good.
“We know that Hatmill is going to be a fantastic addition to the community and will continue driving the conversation forward.”
With a focus on net-zero emissions by 2039, Hatmill recently launched a comprehensive net-zero solution for the logistics sector, in partnership with Harrogate-based net-zero consultants Flotilla.
Simon Dixon, founder and CEO of Hatmill, added: “Hatmill is on a journey to become the best business it can be, not just in terms of the services we provide but in how we deliver those while doing the most amount of good we can.
“When we became an EOT in 2021, it became clear social responsibility, inclusion and the environment were key issues for many of us in the business.
“Becoming B Corp certified is the next step on our journey and we feel achieving it demonstrates our commitment to the issues our people, as well as our clients, feel most strongly about.”
