Roberts Mart secures Swedish packaging deal
A sixth generation packaging maker has wrapped up a Swedish deal.
Roberts Mart is working with Pronova Packaging Systems.
Under the terms of the deal, the Leeds-based company will make bags for Provona’s Joker system.
Bosses say it means Roberts Mart will act as the sole producer and distributor of the chain-style bags under their brand name, and the only producer of Joker Line bags in the UK and Ireland.
Ben Roberts, marketing director, said: “This is an exciting development for our family business.
“It offers us a stronger presence in the market, enabling us to further facilitate the needs of customers and reach new ones.”
Founded in 1852, Roberts Mart supplies packaging for brands across the UK and Europe.
Employing more than 245 staff, it expects turnover to reach £50 million by the end of the year.
