Kada Research eyes expansion after move
An economic development consultancy says it has “plans to quickly expand” after launching a North East base.
Kada Research has opened a Gateshead office.
Bosses say the Baltimore House move will help the organisation – which provides reports and recommendations to governmental bodies, academic institutions and community organisations – build on an “established client base” in the region.
They say it will also allow it to “grow the team (through) creating job and placement opportunities” as the north of the region embarks on its headline devolution deal future.
Karl Dalgleish, Kada managing director, said: “Our economic development projects are place-based, and we like to be embedded in places to help deliver them.
“Gateshead and Baltimore House fits Kada’s ethos with similarities to Sheffield.
Sam Nair, Kada’s North East director, added: “Having been based in the North East for nearly 15 years, I am excited about what devolution will bring for the region and the opportunity to grow the Kada team in Gateshead.
“Kada is passionate about helping partners in Gateshead and the North East to achieve sustainable and inclusive economic growth.”
Kada worked with NewcastleGateshead Initiative to find its office space.
Jen Hartley, director of the destination and inward investment agency, added: “I’m pleased to welcome Kada Research to Gateshead.
“Their emphasis on economic and social impact research and inclusive growth strongly aligns with our regional priorities, making this a great match.
“Wider participation and access is also a key focus for the work we do, so I look forward to continuing to support their team as they grow and expand.”
