easyJet’s new route takes flight from Newcastle
A popular airline has launched a new route from Newcastle International Airport to Paris, providing travellers from the North East with an additional European city-break option.
The first easyJet flight to Paris took off on October 27, marking the latest addition to the airline’s growing network from Newcastle Airport. The new service will operate up to six days a week, with one-way fares starting at £27.99.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said: “Our fantastic new service from Newcastle to Paris will provide our customers in the North East with more travel options than ever before to explore France’s capital and one of Europe’s most popular cities this winter.
“With package holidays available via easyJet holidays, there’s something for everyone.”
The route joins other recent easyJet additions to its network from Newcastle, including flights to Amsterdam, Geneva and Lyon, catering to both city tourists and winter sports enthusiasts.
This announcement follows the airport’s recent accolades, including ‘Best in the World’ at the World Routes Conference 2024, as well as retaining the global ‘Best Airport’ award in the 0-5 million passengers category for the second year running.
Richard Knight, chief operating officer at Newcastle Airport, added: “We are delighted easyJet is continuing to expand its route network from the airport and it is fantastic to see the start of the airline’s flights to Paris this week.
“The French capital has been a popular destination for our passengers for many years. This new connection with easyJet provides more opportunity for passengers to enjoy a city break or even a Disneyland package holiday, booked seamlessly via easyJet holidays or with their local travel agent.”
