BPI welcomes new board member and shareholder
Yorkshire-based asset disposal leader BPI Auctions has appointed Richard Martin, a seasoned expert in salvage auctions, to its board and shareholder group.
With over 30 years in the industry, Richard brings extensive experience in building brands rooted in circular economy principles.
Formerly with Synetiq Auctions and Motorhog, Richard was instrumental in developing one of the UK’s pioneering salvage auction platforms. His arrival at BPI marks a strategic step in the company’s growth, leveraging his industry insights to expand its market reach.
Richard said: “With the restrictions lifted, I’m ready to re-enter the auction world and one of the first steps I took was to invest in BPI.
“It is a company that has really impressed me over the last few years and I am incredibly positive about what we can achieve going forward.
“I’m excited to add my expertise to the BPI team and join the board as a director, where I plan to draw on over 30 years of experience and a broad network of industry relationships.
“This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Today, BPI serves many of the UK’s leading firms, handling thousands of assets each month and achieving outstanding returns, while recycling thousands of tonnes of redundant equipment every year.
“This dedication to the circular economy and green revolution truly stands out to me.”
BPI, certified in multiple ISO standards, reinforces its commitment to innovation and sustainability with Richard’s addition, enhancing its impact within the asset disposal industry.
David Boulton, managing director of BPI, added: "We’re incredibly excited to welcome Richard to the BPI board.
“Having been a market disruptor in salvage auctions for years, he initially experienced BPI as a customer and quickly saw the value we deliver.
“This partnership marks a huge step forward in BPI's growth plans, and we're all looking forward to what the future holds."
