Opus expands Manchester restructuring team
Restructuring and insolvency advisory firm Opus Advisory Group has appointed Gary Lee as partner, joining Frank Ofonagoro to strengthen its Manchester office.
Gary brings nearly 30 years of experience from Begbies Traynor, specialising in corporate insolvency, debt advisory and financial viability assessments.
He said: “I am extremely excited to be joining Opus to help grow the Manchester office and join such a progressive and collegiate practice.
“The Opus name in the restructuring & insolvency market continues to go from strength to strength.
“I am looking forward to working alongside Frank and Jamie, adding my complimentary skills to a team that has already established itself in such a short space of time.”
Frank added: “The need for financial advisory support continues to evolve in Manchester and that requires experienced individuals to help business owners who continue to mitigate their way through challenging times.
“The expertise that both Gary and Jamie bring is invaluable to our plans for Manchester and our ability to further support the business community.”
Alongside the recent addition of associate director Jamie Maddox, the Manchester team is set to enhance Opus’s local service offerings, aligning with the firm’s growth strategy across the North West.
With three offices in the region, Opus is well-positioned for further expansion plans in 2025.
Jamie said: “I was attracted to Opus because of the opportunity to be part of a team that is building a new dedicated office in Manchester.
As a fast-growing firm with a great culture, it is a fantastic opportunity to be part of.”
Tim Dolder, managing partner at Opus added: ‘It is fantastic to establish such a strong team in Manchester, in such a short space of time.
“It is important to us to maintain the Opus ethos whilst growing nationally and Gary, Frank and Jamie have all been superb recruits for us. We’re delighted to raise our North West presence with such talented individuals.”
