An IT firm has pledged to create jobs after completing a multi-million-pound takeover.
Technology Services Group (TSG) has bought education sector operator Dayta.
Bosses at Team Valley-headquartered TSG say the deal will “strengthen its presence in a burgeoning market”.
Headquartered in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, Dayta provides accountancy software and financial management support to schools and multi-academy trusts across the country.
Under the terms of the deal, its 17-strong workforce has transferred to TSG.
The agreement comes just weeks after TSG bosses completed a management buyout alongside Pictet Alternative Advisors.
Rory McKeand, chief executive of TSG, which delivers managed IT and cloud services, and has further offices in Glasgow and London, said: “We’re delighted to have completed this key acquisition to grow our existing footprint in the education sector.
“Dayta has a strong pedigree serving education customers, with a growing client portfolio of schools and multi-academy trusts.
“Its business aligns neatly with our values, and customers will be able to empower its educators and learners through our TSG Academy, which has worked with more than 500 organisations and delivered training to in excess of 4000 individuals.
“All Dayta customers will have access to our unique TSG Academy training, to enable them to understand and get the best out of their technology.”
Hailing the potential of Dayta’s incorporation into TSG, which employs more than 250 staff and operates as a Microsoft Solutions partner, Samantha Ayres, the firm’s director, said: “We are thrilled to get this deal over the line.
“Our business was established with the aim of helping organisations streamline their operations through technology, which is a priority shared by TSG.
“It is a Microsoft and cloud-focused national IT services provider of outstanding quality, and we’re happy to be a part of its future growth trajectory.”
