CMP Products celebrates US milestone
A firm behind industrial cable safety equipment has reached an operational landmark.
CMP Products has hit 25 years in the US.
And bosses at the Cramlington-based company, which makes cable cleats and glands that protect power lines across multiple sectors, say the milestone “will only be the first of big anniversary celebrations in the Americas”.
The business opened its first office in the US in 1999 and has since expanded to nine international bases.
It celebrated its 25-year landmark with a dinner in Houston, Texas, which was attended by key customers, its Americas team, senior global managers and UK board members.
Jamie Hughes, CMP Products’ regional manager for the Americas, said the company’s products have supported numerous construction, oil and gas and petrochemical projects across American and international markets.
He said: “In 1999, we took the seemingly giant leap from across the pond to begin our American adventure – and we’ve never looked back.
“Through our tireless work to always provide high-quality products and services to our ever-growing customer base, and the loyalty we’ve been shown in return, we’ve truly established ourselves as a force to be reckoned with in this vital geographical market.
“The CMP Products name is always in the mix when it comes to new specifications and new projects.”
