Saffery 'primed for growth' after Leeds move

An accountancy and business advisory firm says it has laid foundations for a jobs drive after completing a “milestone” office switch.

Saffery has moved into Leeds’ 10 Wellington Place.

Bosses say its 5000-plus sq ft base will “aid recruitment as we grow our team with several appointments planned in the coming months”.

The Chartered firm provides audit and accounting, corporate tax, VAT, business advisory and personal tax services, and supports owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurs, private wealth and family trusts, agricultural and rural businesses, and charities and not-for-profit organisations.

Employing more than 80 staff in Yorkshire, including eight partners, it was previously based in Harrogate, where it will retain office space and meeting rooms.

Jonathan Davis, partner and head of Saffery’s Yorkshire office, said: “This move is a major milestone for our whole team and marks the start of a new era for us in Yorkshire.

“It also demonstrates our longstanding commitment to our clients and our people.

“It all makes for a very exciting time for Saffery in Yorkshire.”

Saffery was founded in 1855 and today employs more than 1200 people across nine UK offices that include bases in Edinburgh, Manchester and London.
