186 Property Solutions hails 'outstanding' growth

A North East commercial contractor has achieved significant business growth through its growing portfolio of work in the education sector.

Darlington-based 186 Property Solutions, which provides building services nationwide, specialising in office, education, healthcare, industrial and leisure sectors, has reported a 25 per cent increase in turnover, driven by completing 64 school refurbishment projects across the North East and North Yorkshire during the summer.

This work contributed £583,000 to its turnover between July and August alone.

Michael Besterfield, UK sales director, said: "It’s been an outstanding year in terms of growth, particularly due to our strategic focus on the education sector, along with our team's dedication and commitment to delivering quality.

“We have been privileged to work with schools and institutions that share our vision of creating better learning environments. For us, these projects are more than just contracts; they are investments in the future of our communities.

The company, which also operates from an office in Berkshire, completed 210 contracts during the 2023/24 period. Its school projects included replacing over 1,600 square metres of flooring at a secondary school in Redcar and refurbishing washrooms and toilets across multiple sites.

Michael added: "We have built long-standing, trusted partnerships with key clients, and as we move forward, we are excited to build on these foundations.
