Stepnell expands with Liverpool office
A leading construction firm has launched a new office in Liverpool, strengthening its presence in the North West and advancing its strategic expansion plans.
Family-owned and Rugby-headquartered Stepnell, which has been operating since 1867 and is known for its expertise across the East and West Midlands and South of England, will use its new Albert Dock base to support projects in sectors such as education, healthcare and commercial construction.
The Liverpool office will act as a hub for fostering local partnerships and enhancing public sector framework opportunities, while prioritising sustainability and social value in its projects. This expansion underscores Stepnell’s commitment to integrating into the regional economy and diversifying its supply chain.
Tom Sewell, director at Stepnell, said: “The North West is a region full of potential and growth and our new Liverpool office puts us right at the heart of this opportunity, enabling us to work closely with local businesses, strengthen our partnerships, and further diversify our project portfolio.
“By establishing this office, we can build on our existing frameworks, be agile in responding to client needs, and add significant value to the communities we work in, with particular emphasis on opportunities in the public sector, from healthcare to higher education.”
Recent leadership appointments, including Peter Commins as non-executive director and Louise Morris as business development manager, signal Stepnell’s intent to become a key contributor to the North West’s continued growth and development.
Louise added: “It is an exciting time to be joining Stepnell as it expands into the North West region.
“I look forward to applying my experience to support the company’s ambitious growth here, focusing on opportunities that align with our clients’ needs, developing strong relationships, and further broadening our project portfolio.”
