Ocean Outdoor announces senior leadership changes for 2025

London-headquartered Ocean Outdoor, leaders in digital OOH advertising, have unveiled key leadership changes as part of its next growth phase, effective from 1 January 2025.

Phil Hall takes on the newly created role of group chief commercial officer, which he will hold alongside his current position as UK chief executive officer. Billy Byam-Cook, currently group head of finance, steps up as group chief financial officer, with responsibilities that include overseeing commercial contracts and cross-border agency relationships. Meanwhile, UK chief revenue officer Nick Shaw has been promoted to UK chief commercial officer.

Richard Malton, previously chief marketing officer, transitions to the role of group chief marketing and strategy officer. Helen Haines, head of brand and events, becomes director of strategic marketing.

Incoming group chief executive officer Stephen Joseph said: “Our new senior leadership team brings together some of the best experience and expertise in the business, continuing our strategy to be the first choice DOOH advertising business for clients, agencies and landlord partners.

“As we embark on a new period of organic and M&A growth, the team will focus and align best practices across our core disciplines of sales, marketing, asset development and technological innovation, plotting our new and exciting journey together for 2025 and beyond.”

The leadership adjustments aim to enhance performance across Ocean’s operations in seven countries, which employ 300 people. Recent investments in innovation-focused teams including Ocean Labs and Ocean Studios signal the company's commitment to creative excellence and brand experiences.
