Vp plc names new group head of procurement
Vp plc, the equipment rental specialist based in Harrogate, has appointed Katy Tindal as Group head of procurement.
The newly created role will centralise procurement across the Group, driving consistency, operational efficiency and value. Katy will also focus on fostering strong supplier and stakeholder relationships to maintain a future-ready procurement function.
Katy brings extensive expertise from roles at GEP, Cox Automotive UK and Balfour Beatty, with skills in strategic procurement, supplier relationship management and operational efficiency.
This appointment aligns with Vp’s 2024 strategy to enhance collaboration across its divisions and implement a digital strategy aimed at simplifying processes and improving the customer experience. Katy will lead the development of a comprehensive procurement framework and oversee its integration with existing systems to meet operational goals.
Jonathan May, chief operating officer at Vp, said: “We welcome Katy to the Group. Her experience of working with businesses to deliver improved service will be invaluable to us, not only for our business divisions, but also for our suppliers and consequently our customers.
“We believe that by working more strategically with our supply chain we will be more efficient in how we operate as a Group whilst bringing additional value.”
