HACS Construction secures major contract
A major redevelopment project is set to transform office space in Harrogate, creating a modern hub for SMEs and co-working professionals.
HACS Construction has been awarded the contract to redevelop 38,000sq ft at Copthall Bridge offices on Station Road for premium office space provider WorkWell.
Bosses say the project will look to “raise the bar” by creating a high-spec “premium” environment that offers flexible desk options, meeting rooms, and co-working spaces tailored to businesses seeking hybrid working solutions.
Mark Smith, managing director of HACS Group, said: “WorkWell has a fantastic reputation for creating workspaces with a difference.
“Every part of this build has sought to create a premium environment for the businesses that will call Copthall Bridge home.”
The Ripley-based construction firm, part of the HACS Group, specialises in diverse projects, including commercial and industrial developments. WorkWell’s £10.5m investment reflects its commitment to delivering technology-enabled workspaces that support evolving professional needs.
Oliver Corrigan, managing director of WorkWell, added: “We try to use local firms whenever possible, and the HACS Group were the obvious choice, having delivered notable projects across the region.
“We set out to raise the bar in terms of what Harrogate businesses can expect from their offices, and working closely with HACS Group, I believe we’ve developed something special.”
While HACS Construction oversees the design and build, the office fit-out will be managed by Manchester-based Ekho Studio, ensuring the space meets contemporary standards for functionality and style.
