GEG Capital “well-positioned” for growth with two acquisitions
A Scottish investment group has bolstered its construction and electrical portfolio with two strategic acquisitions, retaining all staff and appointing a new managing director.
Inverness-based GEG Capital has acquired Highland contractors Calder Electrical and Scotbuild, reinforcing its position in the construction and electrical sectors.
Both companies will continue to operate under their established brands while benefiting from GEG Capital's resources to support growth and innovation.
Daniel Cormack, a graduate of GEG Capital's Emerging Leaders Programme with 15 years' experience in the group, has been appointed managing director of both Calder Electrical and Scotbuild.
He said: “I am honoured to take on this role and lead Calder Electrical and Scotbuild during such an exciting time for both companies.
“With the support of GEG Capital, we are well-positioned to build on our strong foundations, drive growth, and continue delivering high-quality services to our clients across the Highlands and beyond.

These acquisitions bring a combined workforce of 55 staff under GEG Capital’s umbrella, reflecting its commitment to fostering talent and driving expansion in the region.
