Avison Young promotes interim regional head
UK commercial real estate agents Avison Young have promoted Helen Ewles MRICS to interim regional head of real estate management for the North East and Scotland.
Helen, who has been with the firm for nearly 17 years, transitioned to property management in 2019 and was promoted to associate director in 2023.
Her portfolio includes retail parks, offices, and industrial estates, and she has played a pivotal role in managing key regional projects.
Notably, Helen oversaw the Taras Properties portfolio during the East Pilgrim Street redevelopment in Newcastle, securing vacant possession for the Pilgrim’s Quarter development - future home of HMRC - and contributing to the management of Bank House, a BREEAM Excellent office space. The team are also now advising on the forthcoming development of Pilgrim Place.
Helen said: “I am thrilled to be stepping into the role of interim regional head and believe we have so many opportunities in this region to build on the experience and success of the national REM team.
“I look forward to working with colleagues to drive the growth and impact of the Avison Young brand.”
Gordon Hewling, principal and managing director, Avison Young Newcastle, added: “Helen has made an outstanding contribution to the development of the REM team in Newcastle which manages a large portfolio of high value properties throughout the region.”
