Procast Group strengthens portfolio with JC+P acquisition

Award-winning principal contractor Procast Group has expanded its portfolio with a strategic acquisition aimed at boosting expertise and accelerating growth.

The Hamilton-based construction company has acquired Glasgow’s JC+P Property and Construction Consultants in a six-figure deal, adding a building surveying and cost consultancy division to its operations.

JC+P’s six employees will relocate to Procast’s Hamilton headquarters by early 2025, with director Gordon Ross, a 20-year veteran at JC+P, stepping into the role of managing director and joining the Procast board.

Gordon said: “We are delighted to be joining Procast Group and are looking forward to growing and working together in the new year and beyond. 

“Derek, and the team at Procast have built an award-winning business with a highly respected reputation for both delivery of projects and investing and developing the people within their organisation; this ethos and approach is something which we share.

With JC+P’s £640,000 turnover, Procast Group now operates eight business divisions. It joins Procast Building Contractors, Procast Energy Services, Procast Property Services, Brimar Electrical Solutions, Thermsaver Heating Solutions, CHES and Curtis Heating.

Known for retrofitting and multi-trade contracting, Procast aims to leverage JC+P’s expertise in private developments, commercial property and education to complement its work with housing associations and local authorities, as both businesses look to “lean into each other’s expertise”.

“Particularly focusing on our work in retrofitting, the expertise we’ll gain from JC+P will be crucial in delivering more properties, including harder to treat ones, with improved design and build capabilities.
