Vertu Motors boss secures industry accolade
The boss of a national motor dealership has received a top industry honour.
Robert Forrester, chief executive of Gateshead-headquartered Vertu Motors, picked up the outstanding achievement award at the 2024 Motor Trader Industry Awards.
Robert, who won the award for the second time, said: “This recognition reflects the commitment and talent of the entire Vertu group.
“Without our excellent staff, the group’s growth and success would not have been possible.”
The accolade comes after another year of progress for Vertu Motors, which also trades as Bristol Street Motors and Macklin Motors, wherein it added Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire-based Burrows Motor Company to its national stable.
The business, which also now runs a Ducati dealership in Sunderland and a Peugeot base in Carlisle, has more than 200 sales and aftersales outlets nationwide.
Earlier this year, the firm revealed its Bristol Street Motors and Macklin Motors brands will be replaced by its parent’s monicker by spring 2025.
