Simply Business names new UK chief executive
Simply Business, a digital broker for small businesses and landlords, has appointed Julie Fisher as its UK chief executive officer.
Fisher, who previously served as interim chief executive officer and chief commercial officer, brings over 35 years of insurance experience. Since joining in 2019, she has played a pivotal role in scaling Simply Business’s insurer panel to 35 global brands and driving customer growth, with the company recently surpassing one million global customers.
Under Fisher’s leadership, Simply Business has introduced digital innovations to enhance claims processes and expanded its product portfolio to include options such as commercial combined and contractors combined insurance, further strengthening its support for SMEs and landlords.
She said: “I feel a huge sense of pride in taking the position as UK CEO. It is a real privilege to lead such a talented and dedicated team.
“Simply Business is leading the way in making it easier for small businesses and landlords to find and buy their insurance online – putting cutting-edge technology and deep industry expertise at the heart of all our decisions.
“We believe the UK’s 5.5 million small businesses – and the innovative, inspiring people behind them – deserve the best, and I’m determined to see us continue to protect and support their success in the years to come.”
David Summers, group chief executive officer at Simply Business, added: “I’m delighted with Julie’s appointment at such an exciting point in our journey, as we continue to strengthen our reputation as the one-stop shop for SME insurance.
“Julie's leadership will be invaluable as we deliver on our commitment to offer the broadest range of choice in this market and deliver products known for their value – all with a level of simplicity, ease, and speed.
“With over one million customers, Simply Business – with our unique technology platform, outstanding distribution capabilities and award-winning culture – has never been stronger.”
