BSW Group expands Melton operations
A timber manufacturing group is set to expand its presence in Melton, near Hull, with plans to enhance production capabilities and IT infrastructure across its two local sites.
BSW Group, part of the Binderholz Group, has unveiled plans for significant investment in its BSW Timber Solutions and Bayram Timber facilities.
The development includes a new 100km³ capacity treatment tank at a third Melton site, complementing recent upgrades including an automated crosscutting line, providing an enhanced offering for existing and future customers.
The Bayram Timber site, a long-standing supplier of bespoke timber products to industries such as caravan manufacturing, will also see continued investment, benefiting from access to Binderholz’s European range of timber and engineered products.
To streamline operations, Bayram Timber’s assets will merge into BSW Timber Solutions in April 2025, though day-to-day operations will remain unchanged.
Bruce McKay, managing director of BSW Timber Solutions, said: “We are delighted to announce these exciting plans for investment and expansion, setting us up for ongoing success.
“As always, we will continue to innovate, deliver on the existing values of the business, and offer the most comprehensive range of timber products available in the UK.”
