Green Zone Surveys expands with takeover
A building compliance and energy assessment firm has expanded with a takeover.
Green Zone Surveys has bought ductwork cleaning company Enviroduct.
Bosses say the deal represents an “exciting step forward”, adding it will nearly double its workforce and profit.
Callum Thompson, chief executive at Newcastle-based Green Zone Surveys, said the move will also bolster the business’ national reach by “significantly increasing” its presence in the ductwork cleaning sector.
He added: “This acquisition strengthens our position as a national leader in building compliance, enhances our customer offering and accelerates our growth trajectory.
“Enviroduct’s expertise aligns perfectly with our own commitment to providing best-in-class compliance solutions.”
Under the terms of the deal, Enviroduct – which specialises in grease extraction and ventilation cleaning, fire damper testing and commercial kitchen deep cleaning, will retain its brand identity for the “foreseeable future”, with Ben Walker, the firm’s managing director, remaining in post.
Ben said: “Joining Green Zone Surveys marks a new chapter for Enviroduct.
“We’ve built a strong partnership over the years and have a clearly aligned vision of how to scale the operation, complementing our diverse skills base in building compliance services.”
Green Zone Surveys also has a base in Ormskirk.
