Castle Green Homes welcomes management trainee
Castle Green Homes has welcomed management trainee Catrin Evans as part of its commitment to developing future talent.
Catrin, a 20-year-old University of Liverpool student, is completing a year in industry with the St Asaph-based homebuilder while studying for a BA in business management.
The rotational training programme offers hands-on experience across the business, helping young professionals like Catrin build skills and explore careers in property and construction.
She said: “I live in Denbigh and so knew of Castle Green as they have a good reputation locally both for the quality of their homes and as an employer.
“I’m unsure what career path I want to take after university, but the rotational scheme will hopefully give me a clear understanding of my options.
“I’ve started with the commercial team working alongside the quantity surveyors and buyers. I’ve enjoyed both areas and will then go onto the land department.
“I’m looking forward to learning about the processes involved before the company buys a site and starts building on it.
“I enjoyed studying marketing as part of my university course, so the sales and marketing department is the one I’m most interested in.”
Castle Green has grown significantly in recent years, now employing 114 people, a 37 per cent increase since 2021, and continues to invest in fostering the next generation of industry talent.
Gwyn Jones, Castle Green chief executive, added: “Housebuilding offers a wide variety of career opportunities and it’s imperative that we invest in young people so that they can help us deliver much-needed new homes.
“The rotational programme is a great way for Catrin to gain an insight into potential future careers while learning new skills and is a prime example of how we’re supporting emerging future talent.
“We have a nurturing culture within the business and have focussed on giving our team additional support through work and part-time study.”
