PayByPhone names first chief operating officer
Hatfield-based mobile parking payments leader PayByPhone has appointed Anthony Cashel as its inaugural chief operating officer, effective 1 January 2025.
Anthony, previously chief client officer since 2022, will oversee global marketing, technical operations, client and customer support, partnerships and implementations.
The role aligns with the company's decision to separate its commercial and operational functions, with Anthony continuing to serve on the management board under Jonny Combe, PayByPhone chief executive officer.
Anthony said: “I am delighted to be taking on this newly created role and am already looking at how we can optimise our operational excellence, enhance our processes and build new partnerships so that we can be future-fit as we continue to grow.”
Jonny added: “At PayByPhone, we are dedicated to simplifying our users’ journeys.
“Part of that dedication means we must be a nimble organisation, continuously taking stock and self-assessing. Creating a chief operating officer role fully underpins our restructure as we separate commercial and operational functions.
“Anthony's deep understanding of the commercial side of our business, coupled with his strengths in partnerships and process optimisation make him ideally suited for the role.
“I am already looking forward to seeing the positive impact he and the teams reporting into him will achieve.”
