First tenant announced at airport business park
A vehicle repair firm is accelerating its growth with the launch of a base at Teesside International Airport Business Park.
ABL 1 Touch, a national repairer for major insurers and fleet providers, will open a 25,105sq ft hub, creating 25 jobs, becoming the first tenant of the £200 million Business Park South development.
Bosses say it will operate as the company's largest site among 26 nationwide locations.
Victoria Ashby, Teesside International Airport head of property and development, said: "We’re developing our airport as a first-choice location for business - so it’s fantastic to see ABL 1 Touch become the tenant at our first unit at Business Park South.
“This is yet another example of how we are delivering jobs and investment for the airport, while also ensuring its long-term financial sustainability.”
The 270-acre park aims to establish Teesside as a distribution and industrial hub, with plans for 2.8 million sq ft of commercial space and up to 4400 jobs when fully operational.
