Introducing… Aaron Kah
In a new feature for Bdaily looking at the talent helping shape organisations’ futures, Aaron Kah, business development manager at recruitment firm Visuna, talks about his role and how the business’ growth is helping shape his expertise.
What excites you most about the work Visuna is doing?
As a leading energy and tech recruitment specialist, we are responsible for a global talent pool of 150,000 workers.
I’m responsible for global business development within the booming renewable sector, a role that requires outreach across Europe, Asia and the US markets.
This is incredibly exciting, as I’m playing my own small part in helping the transition from fossil fuels to renewables like solar and wind.
It helps sustainability, and we are part of this change.
How have you developed and grown since joining Visuna?
It was completely different to my previous career role, so there was a lot of learning and development required.
Negotiations are more complex, and in any new role you have to learn and understand a new market, and develop relationships with clients from scratch.
But the role and the company has allowed me to flourish, and we are achieving great results.
Are there any projects or achievements that demonstrate your abilities and future potential?
Renewable energy is a relatively new sector for Visuna, but I’ve really helped spearhead our growth in that sphere.
For example, I created a database of more than 1000 wind turbine technicians, and I’ve significantly expanded our renewable talent pool too.
I also placed our first wind turbine technician, which was a proud moment for both myself and the company, while supporting our first-ever major offshore wind farm.
What other qualities set you apart as a future leader in the energy and tech recruitment sector?
I’m really solution focused, which you have to be to succeed in this line of work.
And the feedback I’ve had from senior management is that my work is consistent and that I have a strong drive to help push the business even further forward.
