Cycas Hospitality names new chief operating officer
Cycas Hospitality has appointed Philip Steiner as chief operating officer for the UK, Ireland, Netherlands and Portugal, strengthening its leadership team to drive growth and operational excellence across these strategic markets.
Philip, who joined Cycas Hospitality in 2018, brings a wealth of experience from his hospitality career, including his role as general manager at London's Bankside Hotel, part of the Marriott Autograph Collection.
Under his leadership, the hotel achieved notable accolades, including Tripadvisor’s Best of the Best 2024 and a top 10 ranking among Autograph Collection hotels in EMEA.
With a background in hospitality management from The Hague’s International Hotelschool and extensive experience with brands including Hilton, Marriott and Starwood, Philip is well-positioned to guide Cycas Hospitality’s operations as Cycas Hospitality continues its European expansion.
He said: “Stepping into this new executive leadership role presents an exciting opportunity to support Cycas's continued growth and success across the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands and Portugal.
“My journey with Cycas has been incredibly rewarding, and I am excited to work with our talented teams to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests and partners."
Matt Luscombe, chief executive officer at Cycas Hospitality, added: “Philip is a highly accomplished leader with an impressive track record.
“Over the past six years at Cycas, he has progressed through a series of increasingly senior operational leadership roles, earning the trust and respect of both our team and numerous investment partners.
“Philip has delivered outstanding results at every stage of his career, demonstrating a remarkable talent for navigating diverse challenges and consistently finding ways to succeed.
“I’m looking forward to seeing him apply his exceptional energy, experience, creativity, and leadership skills to an even broader portfolio of our hotels in this new role.”
