Newcastle Eagles soar with SOS Group help
A basketball team says it is slam dunking green goals thanks to a commercial partnership.
Newcastle Eagles has hailed the sustainability benefits of its alliance with SOS Group.
Gateshead-based SOS Group has supplied the club with heat-free business inkjet technology, which bosses say is reducing energy use and costs.
Having swapped plastic season tickets for a digital ticketing app, the club is using recyclable physical cards that can be printed using the heat-free technology.
Furthermore, school ticket vouchers are now being printed in-house using the equipment, which officials say is helping reduce waste from bulk-printed flyers.
Paul Blake, Newcastle Eagles managing director, said: “We’re really pleased with the new office technology.
“It’s helping us to reduce operating costs and become more flexible.
“We’re already being much more sustainable with our print requirements.”
Andrew Skelton, SOS Group director, added: “We look forward to achieving even more significant environmental and productivity benefits.”
SOS Group has an office at Team Valley and regional hubs in London, Scotland, the North West, the Midlands, South Yorkshire and the South West.
