Tesla to spark EV growth at Integra 61
A major mixed-use development in County Durham is gearing up for a boost in electric vehicle accessibility with the installation of 19 Tesla V4 Superchargers.
The £400 million Integra 61 development at J61 of the A1(M) will welcome the charging points in February and March 2025.
Tesla’s V4 Superchargers, designed with longer cables for universal EV compatibility, promise 250kW charging speeds, delivering up to 180 miles of range in just 15 minutes.
David Cullingford, head of development at Citrus, said: “We are delighted to add to our roadside offering with these fantastic new superchargers.
“They will make EV charging more convenient for those working and living here and make the site even more attractive to new occupiers.”
The new chargers will complement Integra 61’s existing roadside offerings, including KFC, Greggs and Costa Coffee drive-thru units, as well as its growing logistics and residential facilities.
The 205-acre development, which is also home to Amazon’s two million sq ft fulfilment centre, aims to create over 3,000 jobs and inject £2 billion into the regional economy over the next decade.
