3D-printed nutrition firm earns national recognition

A Birmingham-based health tech company has been recognised among the UK’s fastest-growing private technology firms, showcasing its “huge growth” and pioneering use of 3D printing.

Rem3dy Health, the company behind Nourished, has been named in the inaugural Sunday Times 100 Tech list in the hardware category, which celebrates innovative businesses that have developed proprietary technology central to their products or services.

Founded by registered nutritionist Melissa Snover in 2019, Nourished uses patented 3D-printing technology to create personalised vitamin and mineral gummies, offering millions of possible nutrient combinations along with specific products for the likes of menopause, energy, sleep, slimming support and immunity.

The company has seen revenues grow by an average of 100.04 per cent per year, reaching £7.6 million, selling more than 53 million units globally.

With distribution across the US, Japan and several European markets, Nourished continues to expand, having recently secured shelf space in 10,000 pharmacies across Greece, Spain, Belgium and Switzerland, leaving it “brilliantly placed” to “reach new heights”.

Melissa, who last year was awarded one of ten places on the Department of Trade’s inaugural Female Founders initiative and who set the record for the highest-ever seed-funding round by a UK female founder in 2020, said: “We are thrilled to be included on this prestigious list.

“It recognises the huge growth we have achieved since we started, just over five years ago.

“We have evolved from a previously untried nutrition concept into a truly international company that has a unique place in the wellness sector.

“Personalised nutrition is fast gaining popularity among consumers, particularly younger generations, and is set to grow by more 16 per cent a year globally by 2030.

“Nourished is brilliantly placed to ride this wave and reach new heights.”
