OCS cleans up with Maxim FM deal

A facilities management firm has strengthened its UK presence with a takeover.

OCS has bought Sunderland-based Maxim FM.

The deal marks OCS' sixth UK acquisition in the past 18 months.

Bosses say the move, which follows the recent takeover of Scotland's FES FM and FES Support Services, will expand OCS’ reach in the North of England and Scotland.

They add it will “align perfectly” with the company’s goal to double UK and Ireland revenue within five years.

Daniel Dickson, OCS' UK and Ireland chief executive, said: “Maxim FM has established itself as a trusted facilities management company throughout the North of England and Scotland through its dedication to customer satisfaction.

“Their expertise in both public and private sector contracts, along with their regional strength, aligns perfectly with our vision for growth.

“We are delighted to welcome Maxim FM’s talented team to OCS, and look forward to working together to build on their success and deliver industry-leading services to a broader range of customers.”

Founded in 2010, Maxim FM has built a diverse client base with a wide range of services including commercial and industrial cleaning, maintenance, consumable supplies and hygiene and janitorial services.

It also has a track record in the education sector, which complements OCS’ growing footprint in the sphere following the acquisitions of Exclusive Services Group and Accuro.

As part of the deal, more than 1100 Maxim FM employees from its headquarters in Sunderland and satellite offices in Glasgow, Bradford and Swindon will transfer to OCS.

Graham Conway, Maxim FM managing director, added: “Since the company's inception nearly 15 years ago, we have focused on delivering exceptional service by placing our clients' needs at the core of our business.

“Becoming part of OCS presents an exciting opportunity for Maxim FM to leverage the group’s extensive resources and expertise to offer an even wider array of solutions to clients.

“We are confident this partnership will benefit our colleagues and customers alike, and we are thrilled about the future prospects.”
