Reflo’s Reloop tech tackles teamwear waste

A sustainable sportswear brand has introduced “game-changing” technology designed to eliminate waste and promote circularity.

Reflo’s 'Reloop by Reflo' is a fully recyclable teamwear solution made from 100 per cent mono-fibre recycled materials. 

The innovation allows garments to be repurposed at the end of their lifecycle, ensuring old kit is transformed into new products rather than sent to landfill. 

With sports teams requiring new kits every season, millions of tonnes of waste are generated annually, though Reloop’s fibre-to-fibre recycling process offers a circular solution.

Rory MacFadyen, co-founder of Doncaster-headquartered Reflo, said: “Reloop is a true game-changer for the sportswear industry.

“At Reflo, we’ve always been committed to transforming how performancewear and teamwear is made. 

“With Reloop, we’ve developed a fibre-to-fibre circular solution that allows us to recycle old kits into new offerings, fundamentally shifting the industry towards sustainability.”

The technology is already in use by top Formula E teams, including Jaguar TCS Racing, Nissan Formula E Team and Andretti Formula E. Several major football clubs are also set to integrate Reloop into their kits throughout 2025.
