Percy Hedley Foundation strengthens with two hires
The Percy Hedley Foundation, a leading North East disability charity, has strengthened its team with two key hires in fundraising and communications.
Helen Mannix joins as fundraising events officer, bringing extensive experience from the third sector, including four years as a challenges and events officer for a children’s mental health charity.
She also has a background in marketing, having worked with brands such as Coca-Cola and Unilever.
Ava Hartington has been appointed as PR and communications executive, marking the Foundation’s first dedicated PR role.
With a strong background in PR agency work and marketing, she will enhance the Foundation’s communications strategy and outreach.
These appointments form part of the Foundation’s 2025 plans to increase community engagement, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and raise its profile.
Andrew Titmus, communications and engagement manager at the Foundation, said: “The Foundation are excited to welcome Helen and Ava to the team.
“Their combined experience will help to develop and push our 2025 strategy and we’re looking forward to seeing what we achieve.”
