Renaissance strengthens civil engineering leadership
Manchester-based engineering consultancy Renaissance has appointed Bill Wilkins as director of civil engineering, reinforcing its strategic growth plans.
Wilkins brings extensive experience in sustainable infrastructure design, masterplanning, brownfield redevelopment and city centre regeneration.
His appointment marks a significant step in expanding Renaissance’s civil engineering division, with a vision to double the team within the next two to three years and secure new project wins.
Bill said: “My primary role is to lead the civil engineering discipline and help shape the business's direction.
“This will complement the excellent reputation of our structural engineers, as our civils team also become the go-to trusted advisors for civil engineering in the North West.
“I was drawn to renaissance by its innovative approach and core values. Its reputation for being collaborative and trusted advisors on impressive projects made this the perfect fit for the next chapter of my career.”
This move aligns with the firm’s ambitious growth strategy, enhancing its capabilities in delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
Helen Gribbon, founder and director at renaissance, added: “Bill brings a wealth of experience that will strengthen our civil engineering capabilities and reinforce our reputation for delivering considered and efficient designs.
“We’re looking forward to Bill using his strategic vision to sculpt a talented team that will continue to scale our civil engineering services in line with our structures.”
