Research agency sets sights on recruitment push
A North East full-service market research agency has plans to expand its workforce following strong growth in 2024.
Newcastle-based Explain Market Research, which specialises in delivering insights for clients across utilities, healthcare and public services, has announced a recruitment drive following a nine per cent rise in turnover in 2024.
The firm is aiming to grow its 75-strong team by seven per cent over the next financial year.
Kim Davis, chief executive, said: “In December 2024 we moved into our new home in Earl Grey House, a strategic investment in our future and will give us the space to welcome more talented people to the Explain team as we continue to expand.
“We have ambitious plans for the coming years, and we are looking for like-minded, purposeful, and friendly people who are interested and excited about our business, our sector, and our clients as we continue to grow.”
The business, which has operated for over 30 years and completed a management buyout in 2019, welcomed five new colleagues in 2024 after securing major client wins and is now hiring for roles across its insights team.
The recruitment push follows Explain’s recognition as one of the top 50 best places to work in the North East, as well as its advanced award from the North of Tyne Good Work Pledge, reflecting its commitment to employee wellbeing and professional development.
